The uniquely action packed romcom “Marriage Toxin” manga is officially receiving a TV anime adaptation in 2026. The announcement was made with the release of a teaser PV, which revealed the main cast and confirmed the animation studio.

The series, a bizarre mix of battle action and romantic comedy, follows Gero, a skilled hitman. He needs to find a wife to save his lesbian sister from being forced to give birth to a heir for their family’s assassin clan. To navigate the world of romance, he enlists the help of Mei Kinosaki, a cross dressing marriage swindler.
The anime will be produced by Bones Film, a division of the acclaimed Studio Bones, known for its high quality action sequences. The voice cast has also been revealed, with Haruki Ishitani as Hikaru Gero and Shion Wakayama as Mei Kinosaki.
