Kingdom Chapter 857 Predictions: Seikaun Targets Shin! [Spoilers]

The relentless assault by Ri Boku’s forces continues to cripple the Qin army. Chapter 856 delivered a devastating blow: Yo Tan Wa miraculously survived Seikaun’s arrow but she is critically injured and has withdrawn. The consequences are immediate and terrifying: the greatest archer of the Ten Bows of China has now set his sights on the next major target, Shin, the commander of the Hi Shin Unit.

Kingdom Chapter 856 Recap: Yo Tan Wa’s Secret Survival

The Kingdom Chapter 856 revealed a twist of fate: Yo Tan Wa was not killed but her injury from Seikaun’s “merciless arrow” was severe enough to force her off the battlefield. To prevent the Mountain Tribes’ morale from collapsing, her injury is kept a top secret, known only to Bajio, Qatari, and a few other close allies. Danto, though unconscious, also miraculously survived.

Meanwhile, Seikaun, after receiving new orders, is shown scouting for his next prey. The horrific truth is revealed: Shin is his target, placing the Hi Shin Unit in immediate and extreme danger from an archer whose attacks are so far reaching and precise that they are virtually undetectable.

Kingdom Chapter 857 Spoilers

Title: The Honorable Enemy

  • On the first page, Bajio, Shunmin, Tajifu, and Kitari are crushing the enemy.
  • Narrator: When they learned of Tanua’s fall, Bajio, Tajifu, Shunmin, Kitari, and their four divisions crushed the enemy like flames. However, the overwhelming victory was limited to these four armies, and this was insufficient to change the course of a battle involving more than one hundred thousand warriors.

Narrator: After learning of Tanua’s fall, and thanks to the brilliant strategies implemented by Shunsuijo, the tide turned clearly and steadily in favor of Zhao. In fact, Tanua and Danto found themselves in a difficult position.

  • The leader of the Hundred Eyes Tribe appears at Tanua’s headquarters. They are astonished by his appearance and say that this tribe is only mentioned in legends; they never thought they existed among the mountain tribes!

He says that if something bad happens to Tanua, someone will appear and take command. But since nothing serious has happened to them for years, that person hasn’t appeared. (He is referring to the tribe that acts as a substitute, not a specific individual.)

Those at the headquarters are shocked and say, “We remember hearing about this before from Yotanwa in the past.” – The son of the tribal chief: “Oh, how sad, Father! Even those close to her headquarters don’t know our true worth!” Let me clarify something. For many years, we were Yotanwa’s secret advisors, constantly devising and supporting strategies and plans. All of this was attributed to Yotanwa’s genius, praised by everyone, and her popularity grew ever more…

He continues, Yotanwa said she was hiding our tribe for fear of being targeted, but as a result, she took all the credit for the strategies and tactics over the years.

  • They discuss the strategic situation of the battle: They must pay attention to the Myra tribe because their opponent is Bananji, a close ally of Riboku… and the Figu tribe, who are likely to be defeated. The four leaders have shown sufficient strength, but the most important thing is not to lose them… Then they talk about the tribe leader, his daughter, their level, and so on… Then he tells them that he has sent a request for reinforcements to one of the armies, which is…
  • Mouten… Mouten appears, shocked by the news of Yotanwa’s fall, and speaks with the envoy from the Hundred Eyes tribe: Envoy, Yotanwa is not dead, but from now on, the army will be pushed back forcefully. Therefore, we request that you send 10 Thousands…

Moutin’s followers shout, “What? Ten thousand at this early hour…” Meanwhile, Moutin ponders, “Is Yotanwa’s life safe?”

The envoy: “I can’t confirm that, but I’m reading the course of the battle based on her survival.” Moutin: “Very well, we’ll send twelve thousand and reassess the situation here.” Explaining the increase, Moutin: “We faced Bananji and we know his strength. He was putting immense pressure on us!” Moutin questions the envoy’s fluency in the language of the plains. The envoy replies: “We were the ones translating for Yotanwa!”

The envoy: “I’m glad the conversation went so quickly. And don’t forget the skilled archer who hit them!” Moutin: “I know that. Tell them to hold out until our reinforcements arrive.” Moutin thinks to himself: “We never expected Yotanwa to fall so quickly. So Riboku targeted the army closest to the capital, Kantan—Yotanwa’s army—first and struck it directly…”

Honestly… I was focusing on the left flank, the battlefield where the Hi Shin were positioned, because there were some concerns. Half their army was composed of former Han troops, but I didn’t expect to have to send reinforcements to Yotanwa’s army!

  • The scene shifts to Kyoukai’s army facing Kisui… 50,000 against 20,000. Kyoukai is hesitant to involve the Han army, arguing that if they join, the two flanks will close in (encircle) them, leaving them in a pincer movement with Kisui’s army already in front of them!
  • A 16-year-old messenger arrives, bearing the same Rakukan markings on his face. He turns out to be Rakukan’s son and asks Kyoukai to involve them on the orders of Yokoyoko. Kyoukai engages him in conversation, asking if he harbors a grudge against Qin for killing his father.
  • He tells her that he spoke with his father before they left, and his father (Rakukan) refused to let him go, smiling, because the Qin army his son was staying with were a noble enemy (Chapter Title). Kyoukai gives his army a name: (Lua… Rakukan… I don’t know the exact kanji).

He goes into battle and annihilates the enemies, and the outcome is different from the previous one.

Narrator: There was a man observing from afar what was happening with the previous Han forces. He was ranked first among the ten archers. He stood frozen in place for a moment, but then he moved on again, reaching the arena of his next target, Qin.

No Break.

Kingdom Chapter 857 Predictions & Theories: The Clash of the Archers

Kingdom Chapter 857 will be focusing on the survival tactics of the Hi Shin Unit and the inevitable confrontation between the Ten Bows of China. Shin’s life hangs in the balance, and his supporting cast must step up.

  • Sōjin and Sōtan’s Defense: Shin’s unit possesses its own archer prodigies, Sōjin and Sōtan (the sons of the former Ten Bow Sō En). They are the only ones capable of countering a threat like Seika Un. Chapter 857 will see them immediately deployed to act as spotters and counter-snipers, using their inherited talent to locate the undetectable killer and buy Shin precious time.

  • Shin’s Strategy of Movement: Knowing that Seika Un is targeting him, Shin cannot stay still. His unit will adopt a strategy of relentless movement and feints, forcing the archer to waste arrows or move from his entrenched position. Kyou Kai and Mouten (whose army is closest) will provide tactical counsel to help Shin exploit any momentary lapse in Seika Un’s firing line.

  • Bajio’s Command and Deception: Bajio will maintain the deception that Yo Tan Wa is still alive, leading the Mountain Tribes with increased ferocity to mask their general’s absence. This will tie up Shun Sui Ju‘s forces, preventing them from supporting Seika Un and relieving the pressure on the Hi Shin Unit.

How will Shin survive the attack from a member of the Ten Bows of China? And will the Sō brothers be able to match the prowess of Seikaun? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
